Oregon state laws dictate that records documenting municipal activities such as court papers, arrest records, marriage certificates, traffic infractions and more are open and available for the general public, largely due to the Oregon Public Records Law. All significant information on the various happenings of police officers, local courts, and local government are contained in these records, and generally are deemed public unless formally redacted.
