Oregon state guidelines stipulate that records documenting municipal actions such as court papers, arrest records, marriage licenses, vehicular transgressions and more are open and accessible to the public, largely due to the Oregon Public Records Law. All significant information on the multitude of happenings of law enforcement officials, city and county courts, and local government are contained in these records, and generally are believed public unless formally redacted.
