Oklahoma state guidelines determine that records showing public decisions such as court documents, police arrest records, marriage certificates, vehicular transgressions and more are open and available for the general public, largely due to the Oklahoma Open Records Act. This data contain titles, times, information on incidences, sentences, procedures and much more, and generally are all believed public unless otherwise stated. Both regulators and offenders may be held accountable because of their conduct because of these laws, which offer the citizenry with the tools they require to investigate concerns independent of their government.
