New Hampshire’s Right to Know Law promises its people the right to search for, get, and utilize records held by authorities, including arrest records, court public records, marriage and divorce licenses, and records of traffic violations, and this legal right extends to the locals of Exeter. This legislation, itself in line with the Freedom of Information Act at the national level, provides Exeter people with information associated with cases of governmental intervention, such as the names and addresses of those involved, the situations leading up an incidence, results and sentences passed down, and much more. These laws and regulations give the people of America, and Exeter, the power to study and realize their rights, the precedents that brought about those rights, and when those rights are infringed upon, which in turn leads to a more free and open society for all.
