Thanks to the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, information such as court documents, arrest records, marriage certificates, and more are all readily available for the populace to find, examine, and obtain, and New Jerseyans are not any different with thanks to the Minnesota Data Practices Act. All significant facts about the many happenings of law enforcement, city and county courts, and local government are found in these records, and are presumed public unless formally redacted. This legislation, that was largely in line with the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, are in place to ensure U.S. Citizens and people of Comstock have the ability to recognize their particular privileges, and hold regulators and criminals responsible with regard to their actions, promoting a free and open society for all.
